CEMAL ÖZDEMİR

Head of Special Education and Inclusion Department

    Cemal ÖZDEMIR, the head of Special Education and Inclusion Department, was born in 1974 in Zonguldak Kdz. Ereğli. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in the field of special education teaching at Abant Izzet Baysal University in 1998, and his master’s degree in the field of education management and supervision at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi University in 2020. Between 1998-2004, he served as teacher at Ankara Gölbaşı Special Education School, between 2004-2005 as assigned teacher at Special Education and Guidance Services General Directorate, between 2004-2010 as head of department, deputy principal and acting principal at Ankara- Gölbaşı Guidance and Research Centre, between 2010-2013 as deputy principal of Gölbaşı İnönü Elementary School, acting principal at Gündüz Alp Elementary School, between 2013-2016 as principal at Çankaya Süha Alemdaroğlu Special Education Application School, deputy director at Zonguldak Province Diractorate of National Education between 2016-2018, and as director of education at the Department of Education Policies between 2018-2021. Since 2004, he has worked as a training manager and training officer at editorial commissions, various projects, workshops and in-service trainings on special education of our ministry. On 01/02/2021, he was appointed as the head of General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance services. He is married with two children.
