MEHMET YANARDAĞ

    He received his bachelor’s degree from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 1998. He completed his master’s degrees in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2001 and doctorate in 2007 at the same university. He worked as a physical therapist in rehabilitation centers and nursing homes affiliated with the Social Services and Child Protection Agency between 1998-2007. He worked as a sports physical therapist in the Wheelchair National Basketball and Deaf National Basketball Teams between 2002-2006. He started to work as an assistant professor in Research Institute for Individuals with Disability in Anadolu University in 2009. He received the title of associate professor in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in 2012 and professor in 2020. Topics of the scientific study for Prof. Mehmet Yanardag is that pediatric physiotherapy and rehabilitation, physical activity, aquatherapy, motor skills training for children with autism spectrum disorders, adapted physical education, and geriatric rehabilitation. Original research articles on these topics are published in the national and international scientific journals. He has been researcher and coordinator in the scientific research projects on children with special needs supported by TÜBİTAK, UNICEF and the European Union. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yanardağ has been published seven books as editor and 27 book chapters as author.
